Car: 88 iroc

Engine: 350 bored .40 reman vortec heads

Transmission: 700r4

91 chevy diesel tranny 2 wheel drive

will a tranny from a 91 chevy dually 2 wheel drive work in 88 iroc. the thing is rebuilt for pulling a 5th wheel 0 miles on it the car does not have a stock motor its a carbed 350 with no lockup. the guy wants 325 and he will warranty it

Probably not. The bellhousing bolt pattern usually isn't standard Chev pattern. Most diesels use Olds/Buick/Pontiac/Caddy bolt pattern.

The other issue is the torque arm. The diesel tranny won't have the torque arm mount on the tailshaft.

If it's not a 700R4 then you have other issues like tranny crossmember, driveshaft length etc to deal with.

The 91 should be using a 4L80E which means it also needs a computer to operate the tranny.

a 4L80-E is a good trans. look up s10wildside's EFI tips re: running EFI on your engine + controlling the trans. or the aftermarket 4L80-E controllers. It's probably a more complicated transmission option than you'll want though.
