Dear End Swap

Hi

I needs some help with a rear end swap, never done one before and want to try it. I have a 88 Camaro and want to put in a posi rear end.

Don't want to get into the inside swaping of parts, just want to find a posi rear end and do a straight swap.

Stock 350 motor with a T5 Trany. Is there a good rear end to do a staright swap with out doing major mods and internal work.
Any help would be greatful

Thanks

Re: Dear End Swap

any rear from a 82-02 f-body will more or less bolt it, onyl differences would be brake setups, and the 93-02 rears are wider. The 98-02 would have the best brakes, and best posi units, and since they are newer, they can have less wear.

Re: Dear End Swap

You also need to know what gear ratio you have now in your car. You will want to find that same ratio if you want nothing to change but add a posi.
