if you change the offset shifter block (one roll-pin holds it in place) to the GTO O.S.B., yes.

Re: shifter on a t56
OK thanks, I asked because I have a ls1 t56 in my lt1 powered 92 camaro and the shifter sits too far back. I was looking at b&m gto shifters and noticed an adapter of some sort that moved it even farther back. My idea was to buy the short throw and just flip the adapter the other way to get it back to where it should be.
Re: shifter on a t56
Use a manual shift plate. Should fit fine unless you're using an oddball shifter
Firebirds can use auto or manual shift plates because of the boot. Camaros use a plastic slider

If you have a standard small block with ls tranny adapter you will need to clearance the stock metal trim plate a small amount, it's the part that holds the boot on. Next to get the shifter in the right spot you can run a mustang t56 shifter stick. This will move it forward about 1.5-2 inches.
