Hey guys Ive decided that my trans should be rebuilt or replace. My engine is making upwards of 400hpand while the 700r4 doesnt have any issues yet, it does have a shift kit and has around 160,000 miles on it. The previous owner putin a shift kit and im notsure if he rebuilt the whole thing but i doubt it. So anyways I would like to know if anyone knows of any good but not too expensive rebuild kits that also enable it to handle more horsepower/torque. I plan on installing nitrous in the future and definitely this year some nice drag radials that are street legal. So are the rebuild/performance enhancing kits reasonably priced? Or are they approaching the price of just buying another trans? i either want to rebuild this one or replace it with another auto or even better a manual, but either way it has to handle at least 450-500 hp. If anyone can provide any input on were to get a kit or if i should just replace it, it would be appreciated.
