Transmissions and Drivetrain Need help with your trans? Problems with your axle?

looking at an 84 rear axle, whould should I look for.

looking at an 84 rear axle, whould should I look for.

So I am going to go look at a 1984 Trans Am rear end sunday. I am told it is a limited slip, with 3.73 gears, and disc brakes. Comes complete with rotors,calipers, and e-brake cables. I managed to get the price down to $150. He is going to have the cover off for me to inspect it. Besides chipped/broken stuff what else should I be looking for? Figure I will end up putting new rotors and pads on if nothing else. It will replace the open, 2.73, aluminum drums on my 86 Camaro.

The rear is probably equipped with the notorious Gov-loc limited slip, which at this stage may be shot. You can see pics of it in the following link--along with other info that may be helpful in the swap:
