Intermittant Fluid Smell......what could it be?

Hey guys, I've been having a slight on going issue with my car. Every now and then I'll smell tranny fluid inside the car. I've been under my car with a fine tooth comb. (literally) and I'm not leaking a drop. The car shifts fine and I'm not having any issues with it. I know sometimes I'll smell it if I get on it pretty hard. Isn't there a vent tube in the top of the trans which could cause this? maybe it's getting past the dipstick? If you guys have any suggestions that would be great.
