my trans is an 86 all stock cant recall the miles but it works fine no issues, In about a week Ill have the new motor done for the car its a 355 with about 400+ hp 400+ TQ I want to build the trans to last behind it. So far Ive come up with getting the GM hardened sun shell, a 13 vain pump kit, Trans go shift kit to convert to full manual, and am looking at rebuild kits with BW components. this will be my first 700r4 rebuild so any advice is helpful. Ill also be buying a rebuild manual some time this up coming week. I used the search function but didnt find too much info.

P.S. I dont have a ton of money left for parts after the engine build.

 

You're on the right path with that parts list. Trans-go is good stuff. I think many people on this forum will agree that Dana at Pro Built automatics is the man to talk to if you're going to do the build yourself. He loves talking transmissions and will probably answer the phone right now if you call! LOL
