Do we have a 700R4 install thread ?

What else will I need to mate it to a GMPP crate 350 in a 85 Camaro ?
If you have pictures of the install I would like to take a look at them !

It was the stock automatic transmission, so most people already have the old trans. and parts for reference.

 

I am supposed to be getting one in a trade with a buddy of mine. I am replacing an old 3 speed...

 

Figure out if your old 3 speed is 6" tailhousing or longer. If 6", you need a driveshaft from a stock 83-02 F-body.

Crossmember may be different. Shifter cable may be different.

Posting some pics of your car now would help others help you i.d. what your car has and whether it needs swapped.

There are also a fair amount of threads on here about "how do i swap in a TH350" which will clue you in on a lot of things.

 

Our cars came with 700R4's, so not an install guide since we already have or had them.

If you currently have a TH350, you'll need a 700R4 crossmember. And unless you have a tunnel mounted torque arm mount, you'll need the tailhousing from a 700R4 out of an F-body, since the F-body cars were the only cars with the torque arm.
