hey all new here
Hey all im new to this forum. Recently bought a 1985 camaro factory 4cylinder car. now has a 355 with 462 heads reworked. 1.6 full lunati roller rocker. victor jr. intake scat crank eagle rods keith black pistons. 650 edelbrock etc..It has a 350 turbo backing it which is slipping. Also needs a new flywheel. cant even go 3 weeks without tearing the teeth off a starter
Either way, removing this transmission. is it best to just tilt the motor up to get to the top bellhousing bolts? thanks a bunch for the help

Take the distributor out first; reach down from above with a SHORT 9/16" combo wrench. Piece of cake. You can just stand there next to the car and pop em right out.
If this is a 70s 350 block, you may have The Problem, wherein the starter bolts are drilled too far from the crank... let's hope not.

ya i doubt the bolt holes are in the wrong place. There is a way to start go karts without a pull cord its like a drill that goes over the crank. too bad they dont have em for cars

You're going to be under the car getting the trans out; get a 9/16 or 14mm wobble socket and long extension to reach the bellhousing bolts.
