Bumb in the road? No! its just my car! HELP!
1992 305 TPI Convertible, 700r4
If I mash the gas at the line this bump sensation in my wheels will occur. Also mashing in 1st gear range will trigger this violent "bumping" and it will bump into and out of first. Shifts out of first fine at half throttle and all others gears seem fine. But when I stomp it at 20 it feels like I am hitting several bumps all at once in the road. Any ideas what this could be??

It's all stock suspension. And I wouldn't know how to check the transmission mount. Am I going to have to lift the car?

The same thing happened to me. I would bet the farm it's the tranny mount. It's a cheap easy fix. You just need to get it up high enough to get under the car. Best thing is to have it on a hoist.
