shift kit 700r4?
shift kit 700r4?
i was looking on northernautoparts.com at some shift kits and have noticed there are 2 different shift kits. One is the B&M shift improver kit and the other is called Trans Go No YoYo or something. Both say it can be installed without pulling transmission, but looking at the pictures they seem to consist of completely different components. The TransGo has springs and such, whereas the B&M has none. Any ideas, reviews, advice? For an 83 camaro 700r4 305 4bbl. Im new to chevy, new to older cars, and new to shift kits. Thanks a bunch

Re: shift kit 700r4?
Most prefer the Trango kit. I happen to have a B&M kit and have no issues - but the Transgo kit makes shifting better in a better way using a better method than the B&M kit does, thus it's more complicated and has more parts.
OK - the above sounds like an explaination from a two year old - but I'm no tranny guy, and thus I lack the proper terminology. But the consensus is that the Transgo kit is Mo Better.
