wheel hop like vibration at speed
I have a vibration issue, almost feels like wheel hop, coming from the rear of the car. I only get this vibration going up a hill or on slight acceleration in OD, at any speed. Once the vibration starts I can give it more gas and it smooths out. The vibration is very bad and getting worse. At first it felt like a ujoint, but once I got the ujoints and got under the car to change them I noticed there was no play in the ujoints. While I was under the car I did notice, however, my torque arm bushing is torn. Could that cause that kind of violent vibration? Also I opened my diff because of some concerns I had about the cones. After getting the cover off I noticed the gasket was a cut to match box of honey nut cherios. The window where you can see the cones, should there be a gap or no gap? Mine sit just about flush to the carrier. Any Ideas as to the vibration? Or input on the cones?

Maybe dumb of me to ask but have you had your wheels and tires balanced?

Re: wheel hop like vibration at speed
I will check that out as soon as I can. However, when I filled the tank the other day the shaking went away. After about 40 miles or so and as the gas was spent and the weight of the fuel being lifted, the shaking came back gradually. Any thoughts on that? Bad shocks or bushings maybe?
