i know that from the title maybe this shouldn't be here but it does involve a shifter.i just installed a b&m mega shifter i went to start it and one of the wires had slipped off of the reverse light switch.when i turned the key there was nothing but a noise from inside the dash then smoke and now it does nothing at all when i try to start it.can anyone please help this car is my dd and i need to drive it to work monday.

Re: starting problem
i was just outside messing with it.the 2 wires for the neutral safety switch are purple and spose to be yellow but mine was green.if i hook the purple to power it will start and run fine so i imagine there a blown fuse or something in the green wire.it was working before the blue wire slipped off of the reverse lights while the car was running before then wouldn't start afterwards.is there anyway to fix this correctley or am i forced to wire a switch in to start my car via the neutral safety switch?
