T-5 VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR

Just wanted to know if the VSS in the tailshaft of a v-6 tranny is the same as the v-8 ones. Specifically i've been trying to find one for my 92 camaro and perhaps i'd have better luck looking for v-6 trannys to get the sensor.

Re: T-5 VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR

I was able to find a listing for VSS for 5spd cars on 4 different major auto parts sites.

Either you're not trying and need to be or you should or buck up to spending $90+ for one.

Re: T-5 VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR

I believe I've only found them for automatics. Now you have me feeling slightly dumb. Going to make some calls.

Re: T-5 VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR

Good luck with whomever you get ahold of knowing the difference.

Autozone, rock auto, napa and another all show them listed online. That doesn't mean they will be readily in stock or not backordered of course.

Easy to tell the difference; the stock one is just under 1" o.d. and the automatic one is around 2" o.d.
