i recently got a new motor for my camaro and my transmission was running fine for a while but now it doesnt want to shift out of 1st gear and if it does it goes to passing gear.. i am thinking bout rebuilding it myself cause i dont have the money for a new one.. can anyone give me some tips on how to do it?? maybe show me a link to another thread that has done it? and also maybe some tips on stuff to do to help my transmission hold the power of the new motor? and does anyone happen to know where i can get a new traction bar mines broke.....

motor is a rebuilt 350 bored.30 over with forged pistons and a comp cam and some other stuff carb edlebrock let me know

 

I have everything to build it, but to fix yours for now, look at the governor gear, itr is most likely broken or stripped.
