help with trans linkage please! Need bolt size tech

I swapped a v8 and turbo 350 trans out of a mid 70's car into my 86 Berlinetta. The car it came out of had a rod type shift linkage and as such didn't use the holes/bolts to mount the a cable shift linkage. Got out the welder and made a bracket that works however I can't figure out the thread pitch/size of the bolts that hold the bracket onto the two holes on the side of the trans. Can anyone help out with the size of these?

M8x1.25 is what the 700-R4 7 200-4R use.

Thanks for the quick reply! I will grab a couple of those and give em a shot. Those transmissions seem similar enough I doubt they changed the threads

THey changed the threads.

Blee dat.

The T-350 came out LONG BEFORE metric ANYTHING hit American cars. You can pretty much take to the bank, they're NOT metric.

Expect that it has something more sensible.

IIRC the factory T-350 brackets wnet under a couple of the pan bolts, which if memory serves, are 5/16"-18.

The bolt holes I am talking about are on the drivers side of the tranny right above the pan...

Won't be metric. You can be sure of that. Pretty sure they're 5/16"-18.
