1986 Pontiac firebird KICKDOWN CABLE HELP !
i have an 86 firebird that i swaped the 305 for a 350. im using the 700r4 tranny that was in there but the motor i have has a victor junior intake manifold with a holly 650. i have the spectre throttle bracket but when i try to hook the kickdown cable its way to short. i think i need a new bracket
if i pull on the cable as hard as i can i still need another inch ! what do i do ??

700R-4 is TV, not just kickdown. It's far more critical, as it controls the line pressure in relation to the throttle opening. Drive without it, you'll kill the trans.
TCI makes brackets that attach to the rear 2 bolts holding the carb to the intake manifold.
You'll also need their matching bracket that attaches to the primary throttle shaft.
The Q-Jet versions won't do, you need TCI's Holley versions.

Im having trouble finding these brackets on summit. but thanks for pointing me in the right direction !
