91 posi disc rear into an 86 w/drum rear
I am attempting to put a posi disc rear end out of a 91 RS into an 86 Z28 with an open drum rear end. What will I need to make this conversion possible. I have looked at parts but not sure if I need them for the 86 or the 91. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Mike

Jack, jack stands, larger sized wrenches/sockets, maybe some brake line reflaring with correct sized connectors. It's a direct swap.

Yeah it should be a direct swap, just make sure you don't drop the rear end on your self.. I swapped a negative drum brake rear end from my 90 RS (V6) to my 91 Z28 (V8), de-greased it and painted it, looked like new, and it works really good! Although I would love to have a posi with disc brakes, for now that will do it, I plan to buy one in the near future.. so Ii any one knows of one posi disc brake rear end for the 91 Z28 camaro please let me know thanks..
