The guy rebuilding my trans says its a 27 spline. I bought a B&M 30 spline. He says it won't fit but every where I look its says 30 for a 86 camaro.

 

Sounds like someone bolted an 82(?) through 84.5 700-R4 into an 86 Camaro.

Time to find an '88-up core for best durability.

 

Too late, its already been rebuilt. Guess it will have to do for now.

Change the front pump to 30 spline. Thats what they did when my trans was rebuilt.

 

can't just change the pump....the input shaft/drum assembly has to be changed as well since it is actually what is referred to by 27 or 30 spline.

to the original poster: i assume you have a v8? if you have a v6...it will be a 27 spline.
