Need a good transmission for a 91 Camaro
Ok so I was wanting to ask what is a good transmission for a 91 Camaro, i had a 700r4, but it is brokeing beyond repair, so im lookin to purchase a new one, any advice on what a good automatic transmission would be. Basically i want a 4-5 speed automatic that will work for my camaro, Im not even sure if there is any 5 speed automatics but if there is one that would work, and info on it and what car i would need to look for would be nice =] Thanks for any help in advanced and if nothing comes out of this i'll just get another 700r4. I'm also curious what the best year would be to get. I know the newer the better, and i was reasearching alittle already, i saw that the last year 700r4 was made was in 93, and that in 92 they went electric but it was called the 4L60, the question i have is would the 93 be electric then, they where put in - 1993 Camaro, Corvette and Typhoon were equipped with the last production 700R4's. The last design change of the 700R4 was an added checkball to the valve body. I would much rather have what the best one would be for the money im spending. Again thanks in advanced!

But they have different splines to if im not mistaken right? and they are electric mine isnt, so i want what will work in my 91, but be the best for the years i can put in, ive heard that 88-91 are the best ones and have the last of the upgrades for those years that are not electric transmissions, i would prefer a truck transmission, like a 700r4 out of a truck, i mean with what you said, would that work? could i just snip the tcc connection off of each, and wire the one onto the existing wire? would that work?
