Diff ratio on a 82 and 85 the same?
I have a 1982 Recaro and am putting in a 700r4 tranny.
Can someone tell me if the diff ratio in my 82 will be the same as a 85 TA.
If no one knows is there any way to tell from the info plates on the car.

Probably not.
No way to know.
No way to be sure from the plates or any other markings, as you have no way to know whether somebody already did EXACTLY THE SAME THING you are now doing, to one car or the other.
If it really matters to you, you'll pull th ecover of the car you're going to be driving, to change the fluid; and oh by the way, look at the gears THAT ARE IN IT while you have the cover off.
As far as whether they're the same as some other random car, it makes not the slightest difference.
