New clutch is slipping?!

Hi I replaced my clutch about 10,000 miles ago when i put my new motor in, and now it is starting to slip in first when in get on the gas. The clutch pedal is literally all the way out before it starts to grab. Is there any way I can get the pedal to engage sooner?

Have you checked the fluid level in the reservoir for the clutch master cylinder? Often? Have you been needing to top it off very often? Ask your last few passengers if they think you "ride the clutch".

Also, if you did glaze the clutch, then it should be way more of a problem when trying to cruise the interstate in 5th gear.
