The way I read it, it sounded like there was something different about the pedals.

Working carefully and methodically, it took me 4 hours to remove the driver's seat, disassemble and remove the center console, mostly disconnect and partially remove the steering column, mostly disconnect and slightly move the dash, and remove the original brake pedal with bracket.
To my great surprise, the firewall has no provisions for mounting the clutch master cylinder. Good thing I got everything from the donor, as the braces show where I need to drill the 2 new mounting holes, and the old gasket will let me mark out the larger center hole for removal.
I made pics, which I'll post when I'm not so hot, tired and dehydrated.
