Rear ends for 500HP?
My 9 bolt is starting to go, think the friction cones are wasted. I dont want to put money into it if it wont hold together with my engines HP. So I'm starting to look at rears, I know ford 9" are great but does anyone else make a direct thirdgen bolt in rear?? and how much money are they going for?? Thanks

Re: Rear ends for 500HP?
Aftermarket bolt in diff choices are 9", 12 bolt and Dana 60. How much it will cost depends on what options you get with it. At the bottom end of the scale is a basic 9" housing package with axles for around $1000. A fully assembled diff with gears, posi, brakes etc, ready to bolt in, can be $2500+
You can easily spend over $1000 trying to beef up a 10 bolt but in the end, you still have a diff with a tiny ring and pinion. Although the 9 bolt is slightly better, performance parts are just about impossible to find for it so an aftermarket diff is the best choice. Do it once the first time.

Check out autoweldchassis.com I bought there rear housing axle, torque arm crossmember kit and could not be happier. It is mega strong and fully adjustable with sphericle ends on everything. TOP SHELF.
Re: Rear ends for 500HP?
You can build an 8.8 for chump change. Upgrade to 31 spline axles and they're extremely strong on a budget
Thats assuming you have tools, skills and most importantly time to do so
