Vacuum Delay Valves for Converter Lockup
Vacuum Delay Valves for Converter Lockup
What vacuum delay valves are you guys using for converter lockup on your non CCC applications? I can't find one ANYWHERE ( everythings discontinued ) and I'd really like to get one for my Painless lockup kit I'm running.

Contacted painless?
GM makes one, it's about $75, and it really doesn't work well.
I (and others I've read) am unhappy with a vacuum-actuated TCC lockup, and I chose to just lock with a switch. I used my cruise control on/off switch to activate mine so I didn't have any non-factory switches hacked into my interior (and I don't have cruise control installed anyway). I simply turn it on when I'm on a steady 50mph+ drive, and I turn it off at the end of it.

I have the Painless kit and it works perfect with my stock stall and 3.73's. At part throttle, once I hit 35mph, the trans shifts into 4th and then a second later it locks up. Love it.
