installing the TV cable need help

How do you guys do this when the transmission is already installed? I took off the crossmember and it tipped back a few inches but I can't see what I'm doing and whenever I FINALLY get the dam cable hooked onto the hook I try to get the black part of the cable seated but then the hook part just slips off. I can only try this for about 30 minutes then my shoulders start burning up. The most frustrating thing I have ever done. unbelievable. I need some help guys. I have the driveshaft and torque arm still connected. Should I disconnect those? I was really hoping to avoid that all for one cable. I already have a guy putting tension on the cable but it doesn't really matter because when I wiggle the black part to try to get in place for the bolt it'll just fall off regardless. Please help.

Front of the car is on jack stands
removed crossmember but driveshaft and torque arm are still connected.

EDIT: Nevermind I took care of it.

In case anyone sees this thread in the future:
I just started removing everything that got in my way. After I removed the driveshaft and torque arm i was able to get at it from behind the transmission. Didn't even need another person putting tension on the cable.
