need help with tranny problems

hi and thanks in advance fro your help. i was taking out my transmission and maybe i did it wrong but i snapped a bolt that connects the automatic transmission to the linkage. is there a way to replace it or is it better to replace the entire engine?here is a picture http://www.flickr.com/photos/67454301@N08/6135275908/ i have a 1985 baseline camaro. also what is that bar that connects to the underside of the car? here is a picture http://www.flickr.com/photos/67454301@N08/6135275904/ the bar bent a little. should i bend it back in place or just get a new one? how can i get the snapped bolts from the underside of the car out without having to re tap the holes?

As for the bolts, I'll let someone else with a little more experience chime in but that piece you are referring to that bent is your crossmember. It is the main piece that ties the transmission to the frame of the car besides your torque arm. I would make sure it is straight as an arrow or just grab a new one. They're not all that expensive.

the electrical connector is for the TC lockup

the broken bolt used to be attached to your shift lever. Why were you removing that?
