9 bolt rear axle bearing and seal replacement

Hi, I have a 1985 Trans Am with a 9 bolt rear, limited slip. The drivers side outer bearing seal was leaking so I pulled the axle, rmoved the old bearing and race from axle tube, so far all is well. Ordered the bearing and seal ( which seems a bit different, but fits. National 224255) had the bearing pressed back on and when I installed the axle the bearing slides in effortlesly to the tube. Since the old race needed a little persuasion to remove, shouldn't the new one need to be hammered in slightly? There doesn't seem to be play, but I'm concerned it may spin in there.

Is this normal, or is my bearing the wrong one? It's so hard to find the correct parts from these places. Any help out there would be appreciated..

Thanks..
