flywheel ques

i did a search and nothing answers my ques, everything i have found talks about 2 pc RMS blocks which i dont have.

i have a 1 pc RMS block, im building a 383 and will use my T-5 untill the funds are together for my T-56 swap. can i use the T-5 flywheel in the T-56 swap? im thinking not but a friend says the T-5 flywheel is the same.
i talked to my machine shop about balancing the setup for 2 flywheels which he said id no prob. (the second flywheel will be corrected to the already balanced rotating assy). this way all i'll have to do is swap flywheels and no concern of balance.

what are the diffs between the 2 flywheels?

Re: flywheel ques

Yeah; lots of posts and it's hard to pull out "the only meaningful difference is the surface height away from the crank." That's the only functional difference between a '92 Camaro V8 flywheel and a '93 one. The clutch designs are part of the equation too however.

Re: flywheel ques

I can.

You can't.

It's because I registered on thirdgen 4 months earlier than you.
