3:08-3:42 rearend swap confuses computer?

Hi gurus,
Aside from speedometer error, would the ECM or anyting else be out of whack if I swapped a '88 3:08 posi drum rearend for a '87 3:42 posi drum rear end in a '88 IROC L03 T5?
Thanks

Nope! I am runnig a 3.08 right now cause I blew my 3.45 up. I have another sitting in my garage that im currently putting 3.73 in to replace the 3.45 with( getting rid of the 9 bolt and going to the 7.65 ) Your speedo will be approx 10mi/hr off depending on your tire size.

Check the sticky at the top of the page for the correct drive/driven gears for the 3.08 and your T5.
