Rear End & Speedo

Hello to all, first I would like to apologize for my ignorance! This is my first third gen & I learn something new daily!!!

My car does not have the stock rear. Based on the wheel/drive shaft test I've determined it has 327 gears in the rear. My speedo is obviously off, how do I correct it? I also have a 90 mustang, in that car I had to change a small plastic gear (speedo gear) that goes into the tranny. Is it the same here or do I have to reprogram something?

If it helps, I have a 700R4. Thanks in advance!!!!
