Hey guys,

Im having trouble with the tranny and im clueless as to what it might be...
first off, it shifts hard and high into 2 and 3 under light throttle even after i adjusted my tv... I was thinking maybe it had to do with the new 3.42 gears so i thought nothing of it... so tonight at the track when the light turned green i floored it and it stuttered and then just rev'ed to 4k like it was in neutral... I figuered that my carb wasnt perfectly tuned and I went for a second run but this time i took it abit easier than before... It did the same s*** again, run after run... I just doesnt do anything if u go wot from 0 mph

Ive searched on google and I read somewhere that it could be a pressure leak... I want to know what the tranny experts on here think...

I concur. T-56 time!

 

When mine did that the cause was the (aftermarket
converted)torque converter blew it's thrust bearing and
plugged passages in the tranny's oil circuits with little
filings-had to drop the tranny,take it apart,muck out all
the particles,check the pump,and put the tranny back
together with a good torque converter and reinstall-has
been fine since
There are other possible causes for the slippage too...
