I just bought one Dodge Viper first gen. V10 engine and have plan to put in in my Firebird GTA



I don't have transmission and want to know is there any differences between Camaro/Corvette/Firebird T56 trannys and Dodge Viper T56?

As I see input spline is the same, but output is different, 30 for Viper and 27 for Corvette/Camaro/Firebird.

As i now have Firebird GTA 5.7 1988 with 700R4, what is the better solution for this swap, or it's irrelevant?

How much output splines does 700R4 have?

I would just run the Viper spec T56 seeing as its already set up for the bellhousing and etc for the V10. You want to stay away from the vette trans bec those were run through a rear transaxle. I think people have made them work though. If an F body T56 would work I would upgrade to the viper specs to be on the safe side.
