My question for ya is, can I swap v6 700 r4 to a v8 700r4 with no alterations to any original wiring for the tranny?


It is a carb'd motor w/ th30 and am not running the computer anymore.

I do not know exactly what the 700r4's plugs look like between the two, so I am just a little curious if they are the same? because I left my wiring harness all together and only fished through some to wire up the things i needed and left the whole tranny harness together. So as my hopes go, Id like to get a new tranny and just bolt it up and plug it in - But this wishfull thinking is what got me in this journey of sourts already. Also it is my DD so its not a hot rod I bring out rarely.

I have the original crossmember, and everything after the tranny is still original. Any help if this would be worth it would be great.
