just doing lots research before i spend money
i have 1992 convertible trans am with 305lb9 tpi with a 700r4 trans and aluminum drive shaft....the vehicle only has 80k miles
i was wondering from the people that have experience is it possible to do a 6 speed swap on a 305 ...what are things i need to look for and get that are not in swap kits...because i really wana get things down to spec and do it right the first time..and how can i find good kits and what brands ...

You need to search and read some more threads because your questions are answered here.
Speaking from personal experience, the 2.66 first / .50 sixth and a 3.73 rear don't work great with the 305.

My experience is the same; 3.73 is not enough gear.
There's no "brand" of "kit", or any "spec", that I know of. T-56s come out of junk cars. The closest thing you'll find to a "kit" is if somebody took all the parts out of a car and has them in a clump. Otherwise, it's junkyard scouring time; or, go buy a wrecked car and take the "kit" out of it yourself, plus buy all the "conversion" parts you might need that are only available separately, like a crossmember.
