2400 or 2800 stall?

I have a 355 with a comp 268h cam, world products s/r torquer heads, 1-5/8 headers, Edelbrock runners and a ported plenum. The transmission is a 700r4 and the rear has 3.42 gears. What makes more sense to get the most out of the car a 2400 or 2800 stall converter?

if you do a lot of street driving i would stay with a 2400 stall. you want a converter that will be in your cams operating rpm range so they work together well.

Are you planning on any other mods? If so....I'd go with the 2800.

I had a 2600 in mine with stock cam, Edelbrock intake and runners, shorties, 3:42 gears and my car loved it. It got me into the high 12's.

Sure, no problem.......your cam specs will handle that stall just fine.
