v6 vs v8 transmission

Ok I have a 1988 chevy camaro with a 2.8l v6 in it and I am swapping it out with a 5.0l v8 out of a 1986 camaro. I am wondering if I am able to use the same flywheel and clutch and trans from my v6 to put with my v8. It seems to me the bell housing bolt pattern is the same.

Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Re: v6 vs v8 transmission

The 6-cyl disc has a different # of splines (14) and will not work with a V8 transmission which has 26.

Re: v6 vs v8 transmission

No.

Flywheel bolt pattern to the crank is different; bell housing bolt pattern is different; trans is weenie.

If you're gonna do a V8 swap, throw the 6-cyl stuff in the trash and do a V8 swap.
