4l60-E questions
anyways, i have one sitting around, is it better than the 700R4 in my firebird?
would it be worth putting it in?
if so anything special id need to do?
(also its just sitting around because i bought it for the 1998 camaro i had but never swapped them because the old one turned out to still be good, and i also traded it for the firebird)

Re: 4l60-E questions
They're controlled by a computer rather than by a tv cable. Usually that computer is the same computer that would control a newer car's engine. A thirdgen ecm cant control it, so unless you're also doing an ls swap, you'd need to buy a standalone controller, and the cheapest one I've seen is about $600.
Depending on whether or not it was made pre or post 96ish, it might not even bolt on without some expensive adapters.
