ATP transmissionshiftkit
I got this transmission shift from rockauto made by ATP. ( aothough its full of transgo logo's.
anyway, I got some problems with it.
the documentation on this shift kit.
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/atta...um-archive.zip
so I started to install this shiftkit in my tranny, and boy, was it necessary.
first, it looks like i was low on oil )
second, a lot of grey bits in there. think the tranny wasn't cleaned in over 100000+ miles.
second, when I opened the servo thats hanging vertically ( right behind the kickdown cable )
I found out that the green spring that was between the plate and the servo was broken in 2. ( yikes)
at one point I was even wondering how it was ever possible that my tranny works
anyway, i changed the springs in the valvebody and cleaned it out with carb cleaner so that al the dirt etc is out of the tranny.
I installed a new kickdown cable ( wich is PITA to install with the tranny in the car )
now the lesser part. ofcours I started working on the tranny with filter etc, I got everything except ofcours the gasket for the transmission.....
second, in he plans I send you from the ATP docs.
step 1
pressure regulator and boost valve....
where is that located on my 91 transmission.
step 2
the governer springs.
can it be that if your tranny uses an electric speed sensr, that you don't have those governer with springs in it.
I took m speed sensor out of the back of my tranny and didnt see them.
step 4.
where is that part located? I cant seem to find it.
every bit of help is welcome.
