gear opinions help

Hey guys in new to the hole street strip scene. Just picked up a 92 rs that had factory v6 in it. Now has a roller 355 and th350. As far as I can tell by counting tire pinion rotations its got the 2:74 gears. It suposably has a shift kit in it but don't shift that hard. I use it as a DD and work car don't drive more then a mile to work. So not worried about fuel milage but I'm looking for suggestions on changing the gears to get it more torque. Like stop light stop light fast. 3:73 or to deep? I may run the car down interstate 45 min once in a while. Its also running 295 tires on it. I plan to put a different tranny in it or build this one with better shift kit and a 2500-3000 stalls any input?

Re: gear opinions help

First of all get rid of the th350, onlything it will be good for is around town driving. Your 45 min 75mph drive will have you puckerd up wondering when you are going to shoot a rod out of the fender and take out a plane its reving so high. I would spend my money on a 700r4 and a stall for it and not waist $$$ on the 3 speed.
