I have a 91 Z28 305 5 speed and sadly the transmission is very bad and I need to replace it. I've looked at a lot of transmissions and I'm not sure what I should go with. I've read a lot on the forum that the speedos won't work with certain swaps of a different third gen year? I'm most likely going with a used transmission because of my budget which is about $850.00. I've used car-parts.com and seen some good rebuilt transmissions on there also. The question I have is should I go with a regular T5 or WC T5 or what? And what should I look for when buying a transmission like what's compatible and best for the year third gen I have and model.
