9 bolt gear ratio

I bought a 9 bolt today my question is the axel came with 3.27 and its now has 2.777 so is there any way the 2.77 could go on a 3 series carrier sorry if this is a stupid question but don't know anything about axels thanks

No.

Go to the Drive Train forum and do a search on my userID and some terms like "spacer" and "flange". I don't feel like typing all that stuff all over again... and again... and again.... just because the mods on that board aren't very helpful, and don't get a glimpse and turn it into a sticky.
