Rear end with disc brakes

I have a 92 camaro rs with rear drum brakes.

Yesterday i saw a camaro at the salvage yard with vin #8, that had a rear end in it that had rear disc brakes.

Can i get that rear end & just install it in my car?

If so, what else would i need to get from the salvaged car besides the rear end, brake hoses, calipers & rotors?

I think you'll need the proportioning valve too when you swap in the disc brake rearend

Whether the rear is a 9- or 10-bolt, the following info will be helpful:

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tran...-10-bolts.html

Because of thread differences, the earlier combination valves won't fit your 92, so you'll need an adjustable (I'm assuming the salvage yard rear has 10.5" rotors and iron Delco-Moraine calipers, a set-up whose reputation isn't terrific here on TGO). The parking brake may be problematic as well, as your 92 won't have the tunnel-mounted adjustment piece.

If the salvage yard rear is 89-92 with 11.7" rotors and alum PBR's, the swap would be easy where the above issues are concerned--and generally much more desirable.
