speedometer wont work **HELP**

speedometer wont work **HELP**

So here was the issue the speedometer cable broke so got a new one however the connector on the guage end had to be chaged to fit the guage so pulled it of the old cable put it on the new cable got it tightened into the trans and the guage but it still doesnt work someone help please

the green circle side goes to trans and the yellow to the guage which had to be changed to fit due to having after market guages

Did you verify that both ends of the cable were seated correctly (into the gauge and snapped into place and at driven gear)?

How do i verify that there seated correctly and snapped into place and at driven gear?

What I used to do with my 82 was connect it yo the dash and feed it out through the correct route. After that I would either spin the transmission end of the cable by finger and have someone watch the gauge. Or I would lock a drill on it and lock the drills trigger on then check myself..

Okay well i used my drill and got it all to work now my only issue is that the needle bounces around its not to bad and i can live with it but would like it steady heres a video of it
