Bum brand new hydraulics!!??

I bought a new pre-filled pre-bled master/slave assembly off of Ebay for my T-56 swap. Everything was installed and ready to go, but when I went to test drive the car the clutch wouldn't disengage! That stupid plastic strap on the slave didn't even snap either! I tried bleeding the hydraulics, made sure the fork was in correctly, etc. I crawled under the dash today to double check the pedal linkage and saw that on the boot where the master rod goes into the master cylinder, that it looked a little wet. I pried the boot off and immediately fluid started running out. I'm very ticked of. I spent almost $200 on these hydraulics. Anyone else ever experience this?

Now that I think about it, I think I may have been the cause for the failure. I'm pretty sure I hit the clutch with the strap off before the slave was installed. Can this blow the master cylinder?

Re: Bum brand new hydraulics!!??

That would break the slave not the master. If the master is leaking its defective or was damaged during install.

The slave seems fine. I don't see any leaks and it moves in and out. I definitely did not break it during install.
