help with a 700r4
I need some help with a 700r4/4l60 I'm rebuilding. The forward planetary is shot and needs replaced.
There's a few places selling an AC delco 4 pinion planetary set with the newer reaction carrier shaft/hub.

When replacing the older shaft/hub with the newer torrington type, do I eliminate the original brass washer in the reaction shell or does the torrington ride against it? Does the ring gear also need to be replaced? (original is in good shape) Are there any other changes that need to be made when doing this swap? Clarence issues I should be aware of? Any information and tips you could throw my way on this would be greatly appreciated.
One last thing, which side of the torrington rides against the reaction shell?
