Alright so I was under the impression that I had a v8 T5 but turns out after i ordered my Ram Powergrip I definitely have a v6 t5 with the 10 spline 10 inch diameter clutch. My engine is a 350 that has been completely rebuilt and will prolly have around 300 hp. My question is should I just get a cheap clutch because I will definitely need a a new transmission some day . Or will a better clutch allow the trans to take more abuse? If so what clutch kit should I get?

the v6 has a 14 spline, the ford t5 has 10. what do you have? are the mounting ears of the trans and the trans mount on a serious angle when compared to the case, or are they even.

either way you need a different trans

 

I guess it's the 14 spline idk I just know it isn't the 26. The mount is crooked compared to the case. Well it was originally hooked and working normal when I bought the car and took it apart. I guess I am just going to buy a cheap clutch kit until I can afford a good transmission.

 

I think I am going to buy a cheap t5 that was made for the v8's and drop it in and run it til it breaks. I just can't justify buying a t56 or tko right now. My funds are tapped after putting madd money into the car.
