Drive shaft length

Is there a place to find how long different drive shafts are with different transmissions ? I bought a roller with a drive shaft loop and an after market trans cross member that holds the torque arm --- I have no engin or trans but have a drive shaft and I'm trying to find out what trans was in the car

Re: Drive shaft length

I typed "driveshaft length" in the search box at the top.

About a dozen threads down was this one, which should help answer your question: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tran...explained.html

The 700-R4 and T5 drivelines are about 2.92" longer than the 82-83 drivelines for T200-C and 4 speed.

Re: Drive shaft length

If there's any chance that a TH400 was swapped in, then the slip yoke won't be 27-spline. TH200C, 700R-4 and T5 were all 27-spline. IDK about the Super T-10 used in '82 Z28s.

What about a TH375?

TH200C, 700R-4 and T5 were all 27-spline. IDK about the Super T-10 used in '82 Z28s.

Forgot about the 375, probably because they're extremely ultra rare and rather pointless, Thanks for the T-10 info.
