No more clutch forks?
I've been driving my '88 IROC for about month and so far have gone through 4 different clutch master cylinders. I decided to break down and take my baby into the shop. Not too much later, they call me up and tell me the pivot ball had backed itself out, and snapped a prong on the clutch fork. Normally this wouldn't be such a problem, just get a new fork and put it on. But my mechanic told me he's having a hard time finding a new one. So i did some calling around. According to AutoZone, They're been discontinued. And O'reilly is having a hard time getting one too. Baxter, Napa, and even some tranmission shops are having the same luck. I'm in Oregon, and was wondering if anyone else anywhere else has also had this problem. I have a hard time believing that such a popular car would have parts discontinued. Sorry for the novel, but i want my car back and want any input available. Thanks in advance!
