T-5 Complete conversion kits. Who's the man?
Going to swap out the 700r4 in the IROC Maiden road race car to a stick. T-5 or T-56? Who has the best kits or places to gather all the goodies to make the most reliable swap?

My vote is for a G-Forced T5. "This statement will however get completely blown up by neisayers in a moment."
1.You don't need the extra weight of the T-56
2.You don't need "two" overdrives roadracing. "Unless your looking for balast".
3.They are far cheaper to install; cheaper hyd. cheaper clutch, not really any swap parts required.
4.You don't have to buy a crossmember.
5.Theres no clutch height issues, no need to modify the pedal or run expensive hydraulics.
6.Your not power shifting so your not going to break it.
7.The speedo hooks right up with no extra expense of a Dakota box.
8.Your trans tunnel gets cut in the stock location.
There is literally 100+ people that will disagree with this, but not a single person that can tell you they have blown up a full G-forced T-5 under the conditions you intend to use one. Now in a drag strip, boost, powershifting, drive like a tool application I would vote T-56 all the way.

Lemons has a $500 limit. There is no way you are going to build a car, and have enough money left over for a G Force T5. You can't do just a g-force T5 for $500.
FlyHiFlyLow,
I think a kit is going to be way to expensive. How do you plan to keep it all under $500?

$500 limit doesn't include trades, freebies or resale of other parts.
You would be suprised how resourceful Lemons racers can be.
